How to take a Skills Gap Test




What is a Skills Gap Test?

This is a free diagnostic assessment offered on One Academy by One on One. It allows students to identify the areas/skills they need more help in. Once completed, the platform will give provide personalised recommendations for courses that will assist in improving these skills. 



How many Skills Gap Tests can I take?

At this time you can take a skills gap test for:

  1. Mathematics
  2. English Language/Language Arts
  3. Physics
  4. Chemistry
  5. Biology
  6. Social Studies
  7. Information Technology

 


How long is each Skills Gap Test? 

Each test has 60 questions and takes about 45 minutes.

 


Can I save the test to complete it later?

No - This is a timed assessment. Be prepared to focus and get it done!

 


Do I have to complete the Skills Gap Test?

You need to complete the skills gap test to get access to your personalized recommended courses.  If you do not complete the skills gap test, you will still have access to the features in your plan.

 


How do I access the skills gap page?

Visit the Skills Gap Centre on your Learner Dashboard. Select and take the relevant skills gap tests.

 


What happens after I take the Skills Gap Test?

You can view your Skills Gap report and recommended courses within the Skills Gap Centre.



Step 1: 

On your Learning Dashboard click "Test your skills". This will take you to the Skills Gap Centre.



Step 2: 

In the Skills Gap Centre, you can scroll through the test list or search for the desired subject in the "search bar".

Once you've found the test you want to take click "Take Test".



Step 3: 

After that, the test will start. You will see the number of questions in the test and your progress. All questions are multiple-choice.
